Egg Halwa or commonly known as Anday Ka Halwa. It's a soft textured halwa recipe that will instantly melt in your mouth.It is pretty simple and does not take a long time like halwa.So here is the recipe

Ingredients

  • Egg - 3
  • Milk - 250 ml
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 1 teaspoon
  • Raisins - Few

Procedure

  1. Blend egg,milk and sugar in the mixer
  2. Heat ghee in a pan,add raisins and cardamon and saute for a minute
  3. Add the beaten mixture slowly and keep stirring the mixture.
  4. Keep stirring it continuously in low flame.
  5. After sometime, the milk will be absorbed completely.
  6. Stir for few more mins till it becomes like scrambled eggs.
  7. Switch off the stove.
  8. Transfer to a bowl and serve hot






Notes

  • The amount of sugar can be altered according to our taste buds.
  • The entire process should be done in low flame.
  • Do not forget to keep stirring, else it will burn in the bottom
  • if you like milk powder add 2-3tsp
  • If you want add few drops of vanilla essence

Vazhakkai Kollu Masiyal


Kollu is a very healthy diet. It is known for reducing cholesterol and helps loose weight. But it is not a hit because of the limited recipes. Kollu rasam is the most famous dish.( I will post the recipe soon). The below is a masiyal of the same. Frankly speaking, I didnt expect it to turn out so good. It was yummy plus the satisfaction of eating something healthy... even my kid also enjoy the recipe....try out and give your valuable comments....
This is my sister's recipe. My cousin sister who shared this recipe to me. I tried this recipe really came out very well. Thanks for this recipe sissy


Vazhakkai kollu masiyal video recipe :






Ingredients

  • Kollu                              - 1/2 cup or 1cup
  • Vazhakkai\Raw banana  - 1-2 
  • Onion                             - 1
  • Green chilly                   - 1
  • Coriander powder          - 2 teaspoon
  • Chilly powder                 - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder           - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Musturd seeds               - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds                  - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves                  - Few
  • Oil                                 - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt                                - As required

Procedure

  1. Pressure cook the kollu (with required salt) till they are completely cooked. 
  2. Strain the water if planning to make kollu rasam.
  3. Peel the skin of the raw banana\vazhakkai and cut them into small pieces.
  4. In a kadai, pour oil. When hot drop the mustard seeds. Add the cumin seeds when mustard splutter.
  5. Then add the green chilly, curry leaves and cut onions.
  6. When onions turn brown, add the cut raw bananas.
  7. Add the powders- coriander, chilly and turmeric and salt.
  8. Add water and allow the banana to cook by closing the kadai with a lid.
  9. Meanwhile, strain the kollu and give a grind in the mixer. Just a round to make it coarse.
  10.  Then when banana is cooked, add the coarsely grounded kollu and give a nice mix.
  11. Add water and allow it to boil till it reaches the required consistency.
  12. Transfer to a bowl and serve hot.




Notes

  • You can skip adding raw bananas too. Kollu is full recipe on its own.
  • You can cook the kollu to a mushy level and skip the grinding part.
